Heart Screening
On April
7, there will be a free heart screening for the middle and high school
students of the Gwinnett County School District. The screening is
being
hosted by Simon's Fund, a nonprofit organization from Philadelphia that
has been providing free heart screenings to students for the past seven
years. It has checked 5,500 hearts and helped 49 students discover
heart conditions. Simon's Fund reached out to us after learning about
the passing of Coach Ryan Daniel, Adam Smith and Jeremy Nelson. More... |

Area 3 Council PTA Nominations
You are making a difference in
the lives of your children and those around them and we appreciate it.
We are writing to inform you that it is now time to elect officers for
the Area III Gwinnett Council of PTAs. We need your help in selecting
nominees for the following positions: President or 2 Co-Presidents, 2
Vice Presidents, Secretary and Treasurer. The nominating committee will
conduct interviews with the nominees and provide a report by April 19.
Voting will be held at the Area III Council meeting on April 29..

Mrs. Jodi Perkins
Mrs.
Perkins is always trying to find new ways to include technology in her
classroom. She has raised money to purchase an iPad and some software
subscriptions for her 3-5 Autism Resource classroom,
as well as frequently
using her Mimio Interactive System, Document Camera, and Wireless Slate.
